When I visit, what should I expect?
· We welcome anyone and everyone to join us for worship. We are happy to have guests each Sunday and we hope that you are treated like a guest.
· Our worship services last about an hour and consist of music, Bible readings, prayer and teachings from the Word (sermon) as well as Holy Communion and Baptism.
· Ushers will be waiting for you at the entrance of the sanctuary to give you a worship folder, which we call News & Notes, and to escort you to a seat, if you would like. They are also available to answer any questions you might have.
· Everything you need to follow along with the worship service is projected onto our screens. There is also an outline printed in News & Notes, as well as sermon outline where you can follow along and take notes.
· Our 8:00 am service is our contemporary service. This service usually has our Praise Band leading us in singing more contemporary songs. Our 10:30 am service is our more traditional service. The organ usually accompanies the hymns we sing.
· Holy Communion is celebrated on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
· On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month we have name tags available when you walk in the door. Please use them, so that we can get to know you better.
What if I have a disability? Is there room for me at Good Shepherd?
· Yes, there is! We will find a way to accommodate you in any way that we can so that you can enjoy your worship experience here. If you know you will be attending our church ahead of time, please e-mail us and let us know what your needs are so that we can meet them for you.
What about my kids?
· Children are always welcome here. Jesus said "Let the little children come to me, for of such is the Kingdom of God."
· We also have a nursery for children ages 0-3. We have an adult (Maria) who is in charge of the nursery during Sunday morning worship.
· We also have a cry room located in the back of the church where you can accompany your fussy child to calm him/her down. There are books in there and some toys to entertain the child while you listen to the service.
· On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, we have a children's message. We invite children of all ages to come up to the front of church and listen to a message specifically for them.
